Subscriber terms of the San Diego Women Leaders Association, lettered Article A through Article K.

Article A - How This Contract Comes Into Being

Every seminar, conference, webinar, eBook and eDocument on this website, along with any other item of content offered here (all of it, the "Content"), is published by the San Diego Women Leaders Association, and whenever these terms say "we", "us" or "our" they are referring to that Association. The terms themselves, which we call the "Agreement", amount to a contract that the law will enforce, and they govern what you may do with Content you have streamed or downloaded from this website. Our suggestion is that you keep a copy for your records.

Your agreement was requested at one of two stages, either prior to your opening any Content for the first time as a subscriber or in a confirmation e-mail sent to you after the fact, and it is requested once more each time the subscription renews. Quite apart from that, every occasion on which you open the Content operates as a renewed confirmation of the Agreement; Article K records the date of any revision, and you should look there whenever you return in order to learn whether the terms have shifted since your previous visit. A person who does not accept the Agreement, or who has no authority to accept it on behalf of the business or employer for which they act, must not access or use the Content.

Article B - Plans, Pricing and Payment Obligations

There may at any given moment be more than one level or type of subscription on offer, and the Content and services open to you will turn on which one you acquire; the details are made clear when you acquire it. Likewise, varying payment terms and varying lengths of subscription may be available, and these too are made clear at the time you subscribe. The San Diego Women Leaders Association reserves the right to alter the Content, the services or any subscription level at any time.

Subscribing commits you to supplying payment information that is complete and accurate and to paying the rates in effect on the date you subscribe. Your submission of card details to us carries with it your warranty that you are entitled to buy a subscription with that card. Should payment or payment authorization fail to arrive in time, or should an authorization subsequently be cancelled or refused, we may terminate your subscription or suspend your access to the Content immediately. Prices are charged in US dollars, and you may also be required to pay applicable taxes.

Article C - Registration, Users and Credentials

A subscription cannot be had without accurate, complete registration information about yourself, and the burden of updating and maintaining that information afterward is yours; changes are to be sent to service@BizSummits.org. Each subscription is for one single user. If yours was acquired so that you could use it at a company or other organization that you work for or that otherwise engages you, then you are accepting the Agreement for that organization as well as for yourself, and responsibility for using the Content in accordance with the Agreement is shared between the two of you. An organization must hold a separate subscription for each of its users.

Your username, password and any other access details for this website make up your "ID". Whatever use is made of the Content, whether by you or by anyone else under your ID, is your responsibility, and preventing unauthorized use of your ID is likewise your responsibility. If you wish to change your ID, or if you believe there has been a security breach of any kind, including disclosure, theft or unauthorized use of your ID or of payment information, you must e-mail the San Diego Women Leaders Association at service@BizSummits.org immediately. We will make an effort to handle your application promptly, though we offer no guarantee that the Content will be available to you by any specified time after purchase.

Article D - Term, Automatic Renewal and Your Right to Cancel

Your order is your agreement that we may begin the subscription as soon as we accept it, and it follows that a change of mind after we have opened your subscription to you will not entitle you to a refund. Annual subscriptions continue into a further year unless, before the current annual period runs out, you tell us you no longer wish to receive the subscription, and the renewal is charged to whichever card or other payment method you used previously.

Leaving aside the immediate-start rule in the paragraph above, you have no right to cancel your subscription, or any part of it, before the end of the subscription period currently running. You may let us know of your intention to cancel at any point, but such notice becomes effective only at the end of that period, and no refund will be made outside the limited circumstances these terms describe. Notices of cancellation should be sent to our Customer Services team at service@BizSummits.org.

Article E - When We May End the Subscription, and Refunds

A breach of these terms on your part entitles us to suspend or terminate your subscription, whether or not we give you notice, and we will then be under no further obligation to you. Suspension or termination is also open to us where circumstances outside our control stop us from providing services to you. In any case where we terminate your subscription, whatever the reason, and/or permanently cease publishing the Content or cease offering subscription services, you will receive a pro rata refund to your credit card unless exceptional circumstances apply; put simply, we will return any money you paid us in advance that relates to the portion of your subscription that remains unexpired.

Article F - Who Owns the Material and the Name

Ownership of all intellectual property rights in the Content and in this website, copyright and database rights included, lies with the San Diego Women Leaders Association or its licensors. You acknowledge "San Diego Women Leaders Association" to be our trade mark, and you are not to use it without our written permission.

ANY RIGHT THE SAN DIEGO WOMEN LEADERS ASSOCIATION RESERVES THROUGH THIS AGREEMENT IS RESERVED WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO ALL OTHER RIGHTS IT POSSESSES AT LAW, NOT LEAST THOSE UNDER APPLICABLE COPYRIGHT LEGISLATION.

Article G - The Scope of Your Licence and Its Limits

You may, without exclusivity and solely for your own legitimate business or personal use, retrieve and view Content on any compatible device and, for any Content offered as a download, download one copy and store it on a storage device personal to you, such as a USB drive, provided it is never kept on a shared drive, a shared server or any other storage device that is connected to a network.

Everything outside that permission is closed to you, and closed also to any third party you might otherwise allow. In particular, neither you nor any such third party may:

  • except as expressly permitted in the paragraph before this list, copy, reproduce, broadcast, transmit, modify, abstract, create derivative works of, store, archive, aggregate, publicly display, redistribute, share, forward, license, sub-license, publish or sell Content, or exploit it commercially in any way;
  • share your ID with any individual or other third party;
  • make your ID available to multiple users, including on a network or within an organization;
  • remove copyright or trade mark notices from the Content;
  • frame, harvest or scrape the Content, or do anything similar; or
  • use the Content for an unlawful purpose.

We reserve the right to monitor your use of any Service, and if you use the Content in breach of this Article we may cancel your subscription or suspend your access to the Content.

Article H - Exclusions and Caps on Liability

We draw your particular attention to this Article, which you should read with care, because it marks out how far, if at all, the San Diego Women Leaders Association takes responsibility (liability) toward you for your use of the Content. Both the Content and this website are offered "as is" and "as available"; we carry no liability to you for anything beyond our reasonable control, for the internet, for acts of God or for the acts of third parties; any use by you of the Content that falls outside the scope of this Agreement is not our responsibility; and where you have paid no subscription fee, we accept no liability to you of any sort for the Content or this website.

We make no promises as to the availability, quality, security, completeness or accuracy of the Content or this website, nor that they are free from viruses or anything comparable. The one and only promise we give in respect of them is that we will try to develop the Content and operate this website with reasonable skill and care and that we will use reasonable efforts to put right any fault that comes to our attention. Content is offered for your general information and use and is not intended to answer your particular requirements; it is not advice, recommendation, representation or endorsement in any form, and users should not place reliance on it when making, or refraining from making, any specific business, investment or other decision.

WE DISCLAIM, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THAT APPLICABLE LAW PERMITS, ALL WARRANTIES, REPRESENTATIONS, CONDITIONS AND DUTIES OF EVERY DESCRIPTION, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTY OF SATISFACTORY QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

WHETHER IT ARISES FROM YOUR USE OF THE CONTENT OR FROM ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THIS AGREEMENT, OUR FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY TO YOU IS LIMITED TO DIRECT DAMAGES ONLY AND MAY NOT EXCEED A SUM EQUAL TO THE PRICE YOU PAID FOR YOUR SUBSCRIPTION.

THE LIABILITY LIMITATIONS IN THIS ARTICLE H APPLY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE SAN DIEGO WOMEN LEADERS ASSOCIATION, ITS AFFILIATES, AND ALL OF THE RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS OF THE ASSOCIATION AND THOSE AFFILIATES.

None of the foregoing operates to exclude or restrict our liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that by law may not be limited or excluded.

Article I - Delaware Law, Delaware Courts and Arbitration

The laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America, govern this Agreement and determine its construction, and no conflict of law or choice of law principle is to be applied. You and we irrevocably agree that the appropriate federal or state court in Delaware has exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute that may arise out of, under or in connection with this Agreement. Any legal action arising from or related to your subscription, or to your use or purchase of San Diego Women Leaders Association products or services, is to be brought by way of arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association in Atlanta, Georgia, with the filer (the plaintiff) bearing all arbitration filing and hearing costs and each party covering its own legal fees.

Article J - Matters of General Application

Your rights under this Agreement are personal to you and may not be assigned, sub-licensed or transferred by any other means; ours, by contrast, may be assigned, and our duties and obligations delegated, to any third party in connection with a reorganization, merger, consolidation, sale of assets or similar transaction, and you agree that we may do this without seeking your consent.

Where a court of competent jurisdiction holds any provision invalid, that holding does not disturb the validity of the remaining provisions, all of which stay in full force and effect. A failure by either party to exercise a right or remedy available under this Agreement does not amount to a waiver of that right or remedy. The lettered headings are inserted for convenience and have no legal meaning or effect. Finally, this Agreement represents the entire agreement between the San Diego Women Leaders Association and you as to the Content, and supersedes all earlier agreements, communications, representations and arrangements, whether made in writing or orally.

Article K - Contact Point and Revisions

Questions regarding the Service, including complaints, may be sent to service@BizSummits.org.

The version of the Agreement you are now reading was published on October 18, 2026, and from that moment it replaced the previously published subscriber agreement. We may revise the Agreement from time to time and will publish the date of any revision in this Article, which you should check regularly to see whether an update has been made.
